Arctic Cat 400 ATV Flywheel Issues
The arctic Cat 400 ATVs from 2003 to 2008 have a recurring problem that is bound to show up at some time: the epoxy that keeps the magnets on the flywheel gets dissolved by additives in the motor oil. Once a flywheel’s magnet gets loose, it spins in the stator case and damages everything.
Despite the fact that this is a known problem, it is not warranted by the manufacturer, and there is no recall on this flywheel issue.
